Google it, Fiverr it, Outsource it!

7 Sep

One thing that always makes me laugh is when my friends respond to an email of mine and ask “What does LOL stand for?”

Now, in case you did not know, it stands for “laugh out loud”.

I fully understand that not everyone is up to par with geek slang but what I really don’t get is when someone finds it easier to write me a 5 word email than to search for something on Google. You ever get that?

Heck, I sometimes even do that: I work on the computer and when I don’t know how to spell a word, I get up, find my wife, distract herFiverr Goldrush from whatever she is doing, and ask her if she knows how to spell “nescience” (it means: lack of knowledge or awareness).

She usually reminds me (of what should be obvious) to just “google it“.

Similarly, I have webmasters emailing me all the time with questions like: Where can I get quality but cheap backlinks? Where can I get this or that done? What if I don’t have time to set up a website, SEO campaign, etc?

My new answer to questions like that is: Fiverr

That’s right: Fiverr it!

Fiverr is really very straight forward and you can get just about everything done on there for a gigg or two (a gigg costs $5). Anything from getting a new website template or logo designed, to getting .edu backlinks or even have someone do your videos or commercials for you. The sky is the limit.

Heck… you can even get a “facebook boyfriend or girlfriend” through fiverr (obviously designed to make someone jealous) or get Lamborghini pictures with your message on it (thinking I might get this to make my high-school buddies jealous, hehe).

Again, if you need something tedious done, fiverr it!

Fiverr has thousands of experts who are willing to help you with your tasks so that you can focus on things that really matter and need your attention.

I even found a cool guide that walks you through the “fiverr outsourcing” process. Check it out here!

If you are new to fiverr or have never bought anything on there yet, I recommend you signup right now. It only takes a minute and once you have an account, you will find plenty of things you can outsource on there.

Just browse through all the categories – it gets your brain juices going. It’s pretty cool!

Once you have made your first successful gig purchase, you will be hooked. A month later you will not be able to imagine what life would be like without fiverr.

Finally, why outsource? Because time is your most valuable asset. You can always make more money, but your time gets less each day. Invest it in things that money can’t buy!

  1. Hello Konrad,

I agree with you that it is very useful to ask the search engines
your questions first. It is the second nature of all internet marketer
I would say. I approach even in this way in exploring scientific items.
However without being able to judge the quality of the “information” it
is a dangerous enterprise. Because a lot of information in the internet
is friendly speeking of low quality. There is a tremendous increase in bites but a relatively small increase in information. Without a solid education and the development of several skills it is hard to keep on the road applying all the information in the internet.

The solution of outsourcing in order to grow business by saving time is
common sense I would say. So again I agree with you. However one needs the skill to make a strategic plan, select the proper outsourcer and controll the business. Moreover it is of value to know about the outsourced jobs in order to be able to judge the results. Having time invested in learning skills cannot be wrong therefore.

  2. Hello Konrad,

Fiverr is a great source for backlinks and other services too, like audio creation and banner design, I’ve used it to purchase backlinks before and the providers often deliver on time and occassionally overdeliver.

P.S.: I just bought your fantastic product, RSS Feed Creator, and I stumbled upon your website after the purchase.

Now that I’m here I noticed your video on the sidebar and can hear that the audio on your vid is super clear.

Would you mind sharing what equiptments you used to create that video?

    • Hi Idris,
I shoot a lot of my videos with my iPhone 4 and some with my little hand held Kodak Play Sport video camera (you can get these for like $140 at most electronic outlets).
I always just use the microphone that is built in to the camera… no special equipment at all.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions,
      Konrad

  3. Who in America is going to be left standing to purchase our goods and services It seems to me that GREED has taken over common sense and common good.

    • Hi Carter,

I am not American but I am also not anti America. I do believe though that America has had it’s turn with the wealth, and now it is time the rest of the world gets it’s turn as well. It’s naive to think that America is all there is to worry about; it’s selfish really. So, sharing the wealth with those needing it most (third world countries), I’d call that common good.
Having said that, a good percentage of the fiverr giggs I buy are from americans – and for the most part, all the content I buy is from americans as well 🙂

Anyhow, I am not a politician and neither is this a political blog, so no offense intended. People have tried guilt tripping me on this subject before but I tell them to broaden their vision. I have had customers from every part of the world (not just america) so I have no problem outsourcing my work to other parts of the world as well 🙂

  4. Konrad,

Thank you for sharing your experience on fiver. I have been using fiver quite a bit for small task, yet when it comes to larger project I approach odesk. The catch with odesk is that you can’t get somebody to do odd jobs like you see on fiver – “belly dancing like Shakira”.
I was able to get my business telephone prompt (IVR) in nice female voice, create bunch of backlinks to my sites, create articles and logos. Fiverr rules! Unfortunately the bad sides of fiverr – you can get scammed (pay attention to reputation and number of previous customers); you job can last longer then promised (especially if good fiverr is overbooked); you get what you asked for (be more specific with requests).

Check tenerr if you need something a bit more then five bucks can fit into.

    Dmitry
